I undertake commissions and take as much pride in these as in paintings I choose to originate. I like to see the subject whatever it may be before accepting a commission.

It is also important to me to achieve an outcome which will give pleasure to the person commissioning the work, as well as to the ultimate recipient, if that is someone other than the former.

Subjects have included houses, churches, trees in a garden, animals, as well as various plants and flowers, of course.
